Challenge
The project carried out with Vertiv România covered the relocation of their offices out of Emerson and the fit-out of the high-current and low-current infrastructure for 4 floors of the new office space. The process had to follow deadlines set at the start, and the solutions delivered had to keep all the company’s processes running properly.
Solutions
To cover all the requirements of this project we followed several steps. First, we installed the data/voice network. We then provided the electrical and safety power supply for all the workstations. Next, four technical rooms were built for the network equipment and servers, implementing at the same time redundant cooling and inert gas fire suppression in the data centers.
Further on, the conference rooms were equipped with professional displays and with video-audio conferencing equipment. This step was followed by the design of three multimedia rooms fitted with video matrices, controlled from touch screen systems, using professional Kramer solutions.
A centralised access control and video surveillance solution was then implemented, guaranteeing the security of the staff and of the assets on the premises. Finally, we relocated the equipment, commissioned it at the new headquarters and tested it.
Results
We pulled 60 km of Cat6A cable and 1,300 data-voice ports across 4 floors, built 4 technical rooms with redundant cooling and inert gas fire suppression, equipped 3 multimedia rooms with Kramer video matrices and implemented the access control and video surveillance. We then relocated, started and tested the equipment at the new headquarters.
